How to Add Pet Criteria to a Rental Search in the Super Portal

When a rental client has pets, you need to filter listings to show only pet-friendly properties. Here's how to add that filter in the Super Portal.


Setting Up a Rental Search With Pet Criteria

  1. Log in to the Super Portal at app.bramlettpartners.com
  2. Open or create a search for your rental client
  3. In the search filters, look for Property Type — confirm it is set to Rental / Lease
  4. Scroll to the additional filters section and look for Pets Allowed or Pet Policy
  5. Select the appropriate option (pets allowed, cats allowed, dogs allowed, etc. — options depend on what's in the MLS data)
  6. Save the search and set up alerts for your client as normal

Important Caveat: MLS Pet Data Reliability

Pet policy information in MLS is only as accurate as what the listing agent entered. Always verify pet policy directly with the listing agent or property manager before your client applies — do not rely solely on the MLS filter.

Instruct your client: even if a listing says "pets allowed" in the MLS, confirm the specifics (breed restrictions, weight limits, pet deposits) directly.


If the Pet Filter Isn't Available

Not all MLS areas have a dedicated pet field. If the filter doesn't appear:

  • Search without the pet filter and manually review listings
  • Call or email listing agents for pet policy before showing
  • Submit a HelpScout ticket if you believe the filter should be available but isn't showing
