Sphere Nurture: How to Set Up Anniversary & Closing Gifts
The Sphere Nurture program automates birthday gifts and closing anniversary gifts for contacts who meet the eligibility criteria. Here's what's automated, how to set it up, and how one-time gifts like closing gifts work.
What the Sphere Nurture Program Automates
For any contact who has:
- A rating (A+, A, or B)
- A system event configured (birthday OR closing anniversary)
- A valid mailing address
- Your gift preferences set
...the program will automatically send a gift on their behalf.
Two automated event types:
- Birthdays — fires on the contact's birthday
- Closing anniversaries — fires on the anniversary of their closing date
Both are automated through the Super Portal's Sphere Nurture module. You do not need to manually trigger either one once the contact is set up correctly.
How to Set Up a Closing Anniversary Gift
For the closing anniversary to trigger automatically:
- Open the contact in the Super Portal
- Confirm the contact has a rating of A+, A, or B — unrated contacts do not receive automated gifts
- Confirm the closing date is entered on the contact record — this is the system event that fires the anniversary gift
- Confirm a mailing address is on file
- Confirm your gift preferences are configured in your Sphere Nurture settings
If all four conditions are met, the anniversary gift will send automatically each year on the closing date.
One-Time Closing Gifts (Not Automated)
The immediate post-closing gift (the gift you give right when a deal closes, not the annual anniversary) is not automated — these are one-time and ordered directly.
To send a one-time closing gift:
- Order directly through the vendor — links in Gifting Options
- One-time closing gifts cannot be routed through the automated Sphere Nurture system
