Leads Outside Our Service Area: What to Do

Leads Outside Our Service Area: What to Do

If you're on leads duty and a call or form comes in from outside the Austin metro, here's exactly how to handle it.

Bramlett's Service Area

Bramlett Partners serves the Austin metro area, which includes:

  • Austin and surrounding Travis County
  • Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown (Williamson County)
  • Kyle, Buda, San Marcos (Hays County)
  • Pflugerville, Manor, Elgin
  • Dripping Springs, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Spicewood
  • Bastrop County adjacent markets

Outside our service area: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, and other Texas markets not contiguous with the Austin metro.

If You're on Lead Duty and Receive an Out-of-Area Lead

Do not claim it as your own lead.

Step 1: Gather basic information If it's a call-in lead, be friendly and professional. Get their name, contact info, and the market/city they're interested in.

Step 2: Let them know you'll connect them with someone "We focus on the Austin metro, but I want to make sure you're taken care of. Let me connect you with an agent in that market."

Step 3: Notify the leads team immediately Submit a HelpScout ticket with:

  • Lead's name and contact info
  • Market they're looking in
  • Any other relevant details from the conversation

The leads team will route the lead appropriately — either to a Bramlett agent with that market knowledge or via the outbound referral process.

Step 4: Do not work the lead yourself Unless you have a specific arrangement and market knowledge for that area, do not attempt to serve a client outside our service area. Unfamiliarity with local market conditions is a liability for both you and the client.

Outbound Referral Option

If you have a relationship with an agent in the lead's target market, you can handle this as an outbound referral:

  1. Connect the lead with your agent contact in that market
  2. Execute a referral agreement before the client starts working with that agent
  3. Enter the outbound referral in the Super Portal

See Referral Agreement - Outbound and Agents in Other Metros for agent contacts.
