FUB: How to Add a Stage

Stages in FUB help you track where a contact is in your pipeline. Here's how to add one.

What Are Stages?

Stages are pipeline labels applied to contacts — things like "Active Buyer," "Hot Lead," "Past Client," etc. They're different from tags (which are freeform) and action plans (which are automated sequences).

How to Add a Stage to a Contact

  1. Open the contact's record in FUB
  2. Look for the Stage field near the top of the contact card
  3. Click the stage dropdown
  4. Select the appropriate stage from the list

If the stage you need doesn't exist, see below.

How to Create a New Custom Stage (Admin Access Required)

Individual agents cannot create new stages — stages are managed at the admin level to keep the pipeline consistent across the brokerage.

If you need a stage that doesn't exist:

  1. Submit a HelpScout ticket describing the stage name and what it represents
  2. The support team will evaluate and add it if appropriate

Do not use tags as a workaround for stages. Tags and stages serve different purposes. Using tags in place of stages makes reporting and smart lists unreliable.

Contact your ASM or submit a HelpScout ticket for the current list of active stages. The stage list is maintained centrally and updated periodically.
