FUB: How to Add a Stage
FUB: How to Add a Stage
Stages in FUB help you track where a contact is in your pipeline. Here's how to add one.
What Are Stages?
Stages are pipeline labels applied to contacts — things like "Active Buyer," "Hot Lead," "Past Client," etc. They're different from tags (which are freeform) and action plans (which are automated sequences).
How to Add a Stage to a Contact
- Open the contact's record in FUB
- Look for the Stage field near the top of the contact card
- Click the stage dropdown
- Select the appropriate stage from the list
If the stage you need doesn't exist, see below.
How to Create a New Custom Stage (Admin Access Required)
Individual agents cannot create new stages — stages are managed at the admin level to keep the pipeline consistent across the brokerage.
If you need a stage that doesn't exist:
- Submit a HelpScout ticket describing the stage name and what it represents
- The support team will evaluate and add it if appropriate
Do not use tags as a workaround for stages. Tags and stages serve different purposes. Using tags in place of stages makes reporting and smart lists unreliable.
