FUB: How to Adjust or Turn Off Lead Notifications
FUB: How to Adjust or Turn Off Lead Notifications
FUB sends notifications via app, desktop, web, text, and email. Here's how to control them.
Where to Find Notification Settings
- Log in to FollowUpBoss at followupboss.com
- Click your profile photo or initials in the top right corner
- Select Notifications from the dropdown
Notification Types You Can Control
| Notification Type | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| New lead assigned | Fires when a lead is assigned to you |
| New email received | Fires when a contact emails you |
| New text received | Fires when a contact texts you |
| Task reminders | Fires when a task is due |
| Action plan steps | Fires when an action plan step triggers |
Each type can be toggled independently across channels: app push, desktop, email, and text.
Recommended Settings for Lead Duty Agents
Do not turn off new lead notifications if you are active on lead duty or in the high funnel leads program. Missing an inbound lead notification while on duty is a policy issue.
If notifications are excessive, adjust the channel (e.g., turn off email notifications but keep app notifications on) rather than turning off the notification type entirely.
Turning Off Post-Closing Task Emails
If you're receiving task emails after a transaction closes and want to stop them:
- Go to the contact's record in FUB
- Check if an active action plan is still running
- If yes, remove the action plan from the contact
- Or contact your ASM — some post-close action plans are brokerage-managed
Mobile App Notifications
Notification settings on the FUB mobile app are controlled separately through your phone's system settings:
- iOS: Settings → Notifications → FollowUpBoss
- Android: Settings → Apps → FollowUpBoss → Notifications
Still Getting Unwanted Notifications?
Submit a HelpScout ticket with a description of which notification you're receiving and how frequently. The support team can check your action plan configuration and notification settings on the backend.
