Zillow Listing Not Displaying, Displaying Incorrectly, or Not Updating

Your clients are probably super excited (and a little bit nervous) on their big day that their listing goes live. Because of this, it's really normal for them to monitor the portals to see how they look online and Zillow is usually at the top of their list. Sometimes, Zillow will have an issue and the listing doesn't display or doesn't display correctly. Sometimes, you make an update to the listing, and Zillow doesn't reflect the change. There is no guarantee that any of this will fix the problem, but this is what you can do:

  • Make a small change to the listing in Matrix. Change one word in the description or similar. This changes another field that the portals monitor as a prompt to "update this listing" so they will download all of the info about the listing and update it.
  • Email listingsupport@zillow.com or submit at https://zillow.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and wait for a response. This is a pretty easy lift, but you're also now in support heck.
  • Email support@abor.com and wait for a response. ABOR is great about responding quickly, but they can't always help.

Unfortunately, there's not much else you can do and there's no back channel support to quickly fix your problem. Assure your clients that you're doing everything you can to fix the problem and also assure them that their listing has wide exposure on many other channels. Buyers search through multiple channels - through Zillow, many other portals, and most importantly, ~90% of buyers use buyers agents. You're marketing the heck out of the listing to every channel and you're doing everything you can to correct the issue with Zillow.
