How To: Put Together an Annual Real Estate Review
(Step 1) Build Your Packet
It may seem counterintuitive to build your client's Real Estate Review packet prior to contacting them, but it's important to do so. This commits you to the process and greatly improves the rate at which your clients will review their packets. People don't like to inconvenience others, so most people will politely decline if you ask them prior to building the packet. If you build the packet first, your clients won't consider it an inconvenience to you to review, so they will accept your offer.

(Step 2) Contact Your Client
After you've built out your client's packet, you'll want to contact them in order to set a time to go over it. This is a physical packet, so you'll need to drop it off. Send a personalized variation of the email template below, but make sure to also call them and/or text them (you know how they prefer to communicate) with the same message.
SUBJECT:
Annual Real Estate Review
BODY:
{name} -
I hope you're doing well and having a great {insert personalization}! I wanted to reach out because I've put together an annual real estate review for you for your property at {insert property address}. Is there a good day/time that I could drop it off to you? I'd like to go over it with you and it will take 15-30 min. Alternatively, if you'd like me to drop it off and we can then jump on a call or Zoom, that will also work.
I'm sure you're curious what a "real estate review" is. It's a quick checklist of your property that goes over:
- Property Taxes (Protests & Exemptions)
- Rough current valuation as it pertains to taxes and mortgage
- Annual maintenance
- Age of major systems
- Market statistics and seasonality
Let me know a good day/time and how you prefer to review it.
Thanks so much!
(Step 3) Drop Off Your Packet & Review It
As you've communicated to your client, you'll then drop off the real estate review packet and review it with them. It's strongly preferrential to review the packet in person. However, some clients will prefer to review the packet over Zoom or phone. You'll want to encourage your clients to meet over Zoom if they can't (or don't want to) meet in person.
