Compensation Agreement for Contracts Closing On/After Aug 13
We discussed this at an office meeting yesterday, and I wanted to notify everyone because it's easy to button up and prevent any issues. I confirmed with some other folks (smarter than me) that it's a gray area whether or not there's a contractual obligation for buyer agents to get paid on properties contracted prior to Aug 13 but closing on or after Aug 13.
I think there is a very low likelihood that a buyer agent would be stiffed in this situation, but it's also
super easy to button up.
We recommend to our agents that they get a TXR-2402 Compensation Agreement Between Brokers for anything contracted before August 13 but closing on or after August 13.
