Protect Your Commission on Pending Contracts <Aug 13 (TXR-2402)

We discussed this at an office meeting yesterday, and I wanted to notify everyone because it's easy to button up and prevent any issues. I confirmed with some other folks (smarter than me) that it's a gray area whether or not there's a contractual obligation for buyer agents to get paid on properties contracted prior to Aug 13 but closing on or after Aug 13.

I think there is a very low likelihood that a buyer agent would be stiffed in this situation, but it's also  super easy to button up.  We recommend to our agents that they get a TXR-2402 Compensation Agreement Between Brokers for anything contracted before August 13 but closing on or after August 13.

The listing  agent  and buyer  agent  can sign this form. It does not require the brokers' signatures.
