Testing Super Portal Bug Reports
It's important to test bug reports to confirm that they are working from the agent and client's perspective. You will always be tagged in a Basecamp task Below is the process to follow to test the reported bugs to ensure the issue has been resolved.
- Once the developers move the card to the "Released" column, you will need to read through the bug report to ensure you understand what the original bug was. This includes watching any looms and viewing photos/screenshots that were included in the original bug report ticket.
- Using a test account that you've created (I recommend using your email as the email on the test account), you will want to duplicate the original issue to ensure that it's been resolved.
- If the bug was resolved, you will want to move the card over to "Done" and notify the agent who reported the bug that the issue has been resolved. Thank them for their feedback. Below is a template you can use to notify the agent:
SUBJECT: Super Portal Bug: Resolved
BODY:
Hey [AGENT NAME],
I wanted to reach out and let you know that the bug you reported regarding [INSERT BUG ISSUE HERE] has been resolved.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
- If the bug was not resolved, tag the developer who was working on that bug and let them know where their is still an issue. Please include a loom and any screenshots that will be helpful in them understanding where the problem still lies.
