Lead an Accountability Group
We hold 2 accountability meetings per month - 1 via Google Meets and 1 in person. The in-person meeting is held on the same day as the OKR meeting. If the OKR meeting is at ABOR, the accountability meeting would also be there. The Google Meets meeting would be 2 weeks later.
The accountability group structure loosely follows the 4 Disciplines of Execution's Cadence of Accountability meeting. The ideas are:
- Whirlwind: You can't control the whirlwind, which is the set of daily tasks you have to complete to operate your business. Showing properties, going on listing appointments, presenting offers, negotiating contracts, etc...
- Wildly Important Goal (WIG) or "What You're Working On": This/these are the 1-2 goals that agents will set for themselves to complete.
Meeting Structure
- Meetings should be 45 min to 1 hour twice/month. It's good to have one in-person and one virtual
- It's important to keep everyone on task to go over their WIGs and how they're doing. Agents will want to talk about lots of things - personal things, advice on specific deals, etc... Make sure and get through everyone's WIGs prior to opening everything up for "free discussion".
- Make a copy of this Google Doc and modify it for your group.
- Share it with everyone in your group. Give them "comment" abilities.
- If you're meeting IRL, then print out the last sheet and bring it to everyone. If you're meeting virtually, then email everyone the link and ask them to pull it up on the computer.
- Go to everyone in the group and see how their goal progress went. Make notes on the sheet as you progress: https://www.loom.com/share/199a353952f04f189bd45f54819ff6e1
