Employee Offboarding

Whether a voluntary or a requested exit, for the sake of maintaining a positive & professional company culture, we aim to:
  1. Keep the transition process private & respectful
  2. Leave the former team member feeling they were treated as well as they could in light of the exit
  3. Assist in helping them find another position to some degree, wherever possible.

We want everyone to know that even if let go or needing to move on, they’ll be treated well.

Ideal Transition Planning

It sometimes becomes apparent that our company is not the right fit for an employee and/or vice versa. When this is the case, we can create a transition plan that is beneficial for all parties. An ideal scenario typically includes the following:

  • 1-3 months' notice from the employee to us or vice versa. This entails some amount of guaranteed time from the employee (say 1 month) and some amount of flexible time where they can leave w/ 1 week's notice when they find a new position.
  • Continuance of acceptable/quality work from the employee while they look for a new job elsewhere.
  • Constructive feedback from the employee to us regarding any improvements we can make.
  • Constructive feedback from us to the employee regarding positive steps they can take to find a better position for them.
  • A positive reference from us.
  • The ability for us to communicate with the employee and vice versa after the transition.
  • A general nice feeling and respect all around during and after the transition.
