New Agent Onboarding
When an agent successfully made it through the recruiting process, Eric will extend an offer to the agent. If they accept, he will send an introduction for onboarding.
Workflow
- Eric will send an email introduction to you and the agent. He'll ask you to get started with pre-onboarding / onboarding. He often includes the agent's timeline / expected start date.
- Based on the timeline, think critically about how quickly you need to move. Regardless, you should start a Basecamp onboarding project.
- If its a single agent, use this project template.
- If its an agent joining an existing team, use this project template.
- If its a new team, use this project template.
- Follow the tasks within the Basecamp project.
Important Notes:
- It's likely agents won't always follow the Basecamp project to a T. They will often email you with questions instead of asking within the project.
- The #1 goal is to support the agent. Whenever an agent moves, it always causes some sort of disruption to their business. Be there to minimize disruption and make them feel as supported as possible.
- If an agent is blatantly not following the Basecamp project, not responding to emails, not taking things seriously, etc. this should be discussed. We have a very selective recruiting process, but we've had a scenario in which we made a bad hire and discovered it during onboarding.
