Lead an Accountability Group

We hold 2 accountability meetings per month - 1 via Zoom and 1 in person. The in-person meeting is held on the same day as the OKR meeting. If the OKR meeting is at Rudy's, the accountability meeting would also be there. If the OKR meeting is elsewhere, such as ABOR, we'd want to find a nearby coffee shop or cafe. The Zoom meeting would be 2 weeks later.

The primary purpose of the meeting is to touch base on FUB daily workflows. We want to ensure everyone is keeping up with their daily workflows. If they aren't, we want to know why. If they are, we want to be sure everything is working smoothly.

Scheduling the meeting:
  • Set a reminder once a month to schedule the following month's meetings
  • Send calendar invite with all details (time/place or Zoom link)

To create a Zoom invitation, create a reoccurring Zoom meeting within the Zoom app. Set it for every Tuesday from 9:00am-10:00am, even though it won't actually be held every Tuesday. Zoom will provide invitation details, including the meeting ID, which should be added to the calendar invite.

Example questions to ask:
  • How is it going putting in contacts?
  • How are you engaging with clients (call, text, email)?
  • Are you setting up market updates?
  • Are clients engaging with market updates?

Another perk of being in an accountability group is the ability to connect and get advice. This is allowed, but the conversation does need to be managed. We want to cap the meeting at around 30 minutes.

Some agents enjoy having a group text as well. The purpose of the group text is to hold each other accountable. We can do challenges, such as hitting the daily workflow, cleaning up contacts, organizing the workspace, etc.
